What Are The Differences Between A Running Baby Stroller And A Traditional Stroller

As parents of infants and small children you will find that the stroller is one of the most used items you will have. Since there are many different types and styles it can be very challenging to find one that is best for your family. Making the right choices will be determined by many factors including budget, lifestyle, space limitations and what features you want in the baby stroller.

Traditional strollers are designed for everyday use. With their four wheel design and smaller wheels they are easier to maneuver while shopping than running strollers. Modern strollers are available with many extras such as cup holders, baskets for storage of items like diaper bags, reclining seats and many other features. They can range from the simple umbrella type strollers to models that have detachable baby carriers and car seats incorporated.
Jogging strollers or infant joggers as the name implies are mostly used by parents who want to maintain their healthy lifestyle with a jogging or running regiment. This type of stroller allows more freedom and insures that the exercise can be maintained without having to worry about baby sitters or loosing quality time with your child.
A recent introduction to the market is a cross between the traditional and jogging stroller. All Terrain swivel stroller that incorporate the three wheel design of the jogging stroller and some of the extra comfort features of the traditional stroller. The front swivel wheel makes these "infant joggers" easier to maneuver in stores and malls. They are more difficult to use for the serious runner however. While the all terrain swivel stroller shares the same basic design as a running stroller, the wheels are slightly smaller than the standard baby jogging stroller. Which style is right for you?
