Parent comments indicate the Schwinn Free Runner is a very good jogging stroller for the money. Reviewers liked that it had a rain cover built into the canopy so it did not need to be purchased separately. The Schwinn Free Runner is easy to assemble and tracks straight. One consumer purchased this jogging stroller for their beach house so they would not need to transport the Baby Jogger they had at home. No Regrets

I have owned this stroller for a few months now, and I am very pleased. My grandson loves to ride in it. It handles very nicely. When I take my grandson for a walk, I also take my lab as well. The stroller handles so well that my dog is able to walk right along side the stroller. Now our other dog Natty hates to walk, so we put her in the bottom basket with a small pillow, and off we go. The construction of this stroller is very sturdy. I hate the thought of my grandson out weighting the comfort of this stroller, it is good until 50lbs. he is now 34lbs. I would recommend this stroller and I do!

Happy Jogger

I bought this Schwinn after borrowing a friends and taking it out for a test spin. We have three small children and already had a Schwinn double jogger that had never given us any problems. However, I like this jogger better than the double because of the cup holder and storage compartment for the adult/jogger and the child tray which are things the double doesn't have. If your kids are up for the jog this is a great, smooth rolling jogger. Only note to make is that the front wheel can and has come off during a run. I would recommend checking the front wheel before a run just to make sure that you and your child have a safe and fun run.

Love!

I got this stroller about 4 months ago and I am in love with it. We previously had a double Schwinn but I only have one child that needs a stroller now, so we needed to downsize to a single jogger. I tried out a lot of other brands (around the same price point or a little less) and I had to go back to Schwinn again. I love the feel when I push it -- so light and easy to handle. It works great for running and I can barely feel the weight of my daughter in it when I do. It has the all important swivel wheel in the front that is easy to switch back and forth from. It's easy to fold. Of course as with any jogger, it doesn't fold very compactly but it does an OK job. I got the blue and green color scheme and it's really quite nice. The fabric is stain resistant and easily wiped clean. The one thing I will say is that the drink/snack/toy tray wouldn't be able to be used with a very large child. My daughter is tiny, tiny at 2 years old (21 pounds) and she won't be able to use the tray for more than another 6 months, I'd wager. However, it can be taken off easily.

Almost perfect for occasional jogging

Easy review, not long winded: Like: Front wheel swivel or locked. I never lock even when I jog which is 4 times a week for 3-4 miles. Rolls easily over all terrain encountered so far, east coast crappy sidewalks, beach, dirt, grass Adjustable handle Rolls super easy and is not heavy Due to super easy rolling the brake is essential and works quite easily When folded I can fit it into my Subaru hatchback pretty easily Light so I can lift it eaily into my hatchback Slight cons: Front wheel has become a little difficuly after two beach uses. Won't turn to left as easily Canopy adjusts but had to tinker with the screws to keep it in place. Velcro loop meant to help fasten canopy in upright position is worthless. Needs longer velcro. Snaps meant to hold canopy in upright position are a pain in the butt when you are jogging so I am going to try adding my own extra piece of velcro for quick easy adjustments. Adult's drink holder is OK for low profile items like ipods, cell phones, etc but will not hold your water bottle when you go over a bump. Overall very happy and so is baby.

Happy Medium

I went through 239847234 reviews before making this purchase. I am not a hardcore runner but wanted something decent I could jog/run with once baby is big enough. Adjustable handlebar (which the BOB does not offer) Zippered pocket on seat back Swivel/Locking front wheel Removable seat padding Five point harness (did not come with shoulder padding) Parent console and baby snack tray which can easily be removed (they just snap in/out) Rain cover is built-in; it zips up into the canopy (LOVE!) Foot brake One hand folding mechanism: The wheel needs to be in swivel mode for the stroller to fold properly. It does not lock once it's folded , but if you pick it up on the handle end it's pretty easy to get it in and out of the car. Just a few cons that were not deal breakers for us, but might be for the avid runner: No hand brake. Lower basket does not hold very much weight (our small diaper bag pretty much maxed it out) Stroller is not easily maneuvered at walking speeds (this is hubby's biggest complaint). I don't recommend buying this as an every day stroller. It's big and bulky.
